Should Kids Get Less Homework?

Should kids get less homework? Most kids complain that they have a pile of homework to finish and they stay up late at night. Other people think that it helps them work better in school and minimizes the chance of cheating. However, I think that kids should get an average amount of homework. Not too much or too less.
People who disagree with the idea of children getting less homework say that:
It teaches them responsibility.
It helps children review what they learned in class.
And it makes students learn how to manage homework so that they can handle a lot of homework in higher grades.
People who agree with the idea of kids getting no homework say that:
Kids are also tired when they get back home from school.
They feel stressed.
Their sleep is affected.
And their school work is affected negatively.
With all these reasons, I think kids should be getting less homework, but they still need to do it on a regular basis, maybe 1-2 hours of daily homework is okay, because homework is still important for kids since it has benefits.
